MINI AND TEEN SUMMER camps
G.I.R.L.S. Rock Sacramento is much more than an arts and music education summer camp. We believe that creativity, positivity, and community are key elements of personal and collective empowerment and positive social change. Our summer day camps are week-long programs for young people ages 7-17 who identify as girls, non-binary, or gender-expansive. Campers attend instrument lessons, rehearse in a band, collaboratively write an original song, participate in daily music and empowerment-related workshops and activities, and perform with their bands at a live showcase at the end of the week.
Campers can play rock, punk, hip-hop, country, pop, indie, lounge, blues, reggae, jazz, ska, metal, experimental, hardcore, R&B, screamo, alternative, classic, or any combination of any other musical genre you can think of! No experience is necessary!

We are delighted to share that our camps offer some scholarships for BIPOC campers, and a sliding scale tuition payment option, with tuition ranging from $50 – $400. We are fully committed to welcoming a diverse group of campers and the sliding scale tuition program ensures that our campers represent an economically, racially, and culturally diverse community.

MINI Camp SESSION- AGES 7-11 (FULL)
2024 MINI CAMP DATES: June 17-21
TIMES: 10am to 2pm M-F
CAMP SHOWCASE: Saturday, June 22nd at 11am
CAMP & SHOWCASE LOCATION: The Met High School - 810 V Street, Sacramento
TUITION: $300 - Mini Camp is currently full. To be placed on the waiting list, please click below.
No experience is necessary! Mini Camp is a week-long day camp for ages 7-11. The week will culminate with a live performance event on the Saturday following camp! Camp curriculum includes instrument instruction, art projects, workshops (including social and gender justice, songwriting, self-defense, and more), and band rehearsals.
Space is limited to 30 campers. A completed application + tuition must be received at least three weeks in advance in order to reserve a spot in mini camp.

TEEN Camp SESSION - AGES 12-17
2024 TEEN CAMP DATES: June 24-28
TIMES: 10am to 4pm, M-F
CAMP LOCATION: The Met High School, 810 V Street, Sacramento
CAMP SHOWCASE: Saturday, June 29th at 3pm at The Boardwalk (Orangevale, CA)
TUITION: $400
No experience is necessary! Teen Camp is a week-long day camp for ages 12-17. The week will culminate with a live performance event on the Saturday following camp! Camp curriculum includes instrument instruction, workshops (including social justice, songwriting, self-defense, and more), and band rehearsals.
