Join GRS’s house youth band, WISTERIA, at Pops in the Park, one of Sacramento’s most beloved summer traditions! This free outdoor concert series brings neighbors, families, and music lovers together for evenings of live music in local parks across East Sacramento.

Each event features live performances from local bands and artists, along with food vendors, drinks, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, relax under the trees, and enjoy a summer evening filled with great music and connection.

WISTERIA is excited to be joining the celebration with a special performance to open the show. Come out to support the next generation of artists and experience the creativity and confidence that our alumni campers will bring to the stage.

Pops in the Park is free and open to all ages, making it the perfect way to enjoy live music, connect with your community, and celebrate Sacramento’s vibrant local music scene.

Hosted at Heartland Child & Family Services, this free community event will feature youth and family support resources, free snacks and giveaways, and hands-on activities for kids.

Experience ArtMix, the Crocker’s monthly after-hours event where art, music, and good vibes collide. Enjoy live performances, hit the dancefloor, create your own art, grab a drink, and explore the museum in a whole new way.

This month’s theme, The Sneaker Ball—created in collaboration with artist Keia Kodama—blends fresh kicks with formal flair. Think DJ duels, live artists, and nostalgic throwback activities inspired by the magic of prom night.

Join us on Thursday, May 7th for the Big Day of Giving, the Sacramento region’s annual 24-hour giving celebration that supports local nonprofits and the communities they serve. This special day is an opportunity to invest in our programs, which empower young people through creativity, mentorship, and music.

If you’re 21+, you can join us in person when we take over the Pine Cove for a Karaoke Party from 5:30-7:30pm!

For those under 21, we will also have a booth set up outside with prizes and GRS merch! Please stop by to say hi, spin the wheel, or make a donation!

At G.I.R.L.S. Rock Sacramento, donations help fund year-round music education programs, summer rock camps, workshops, and live performance opportunities for youth who identify as girls, trans, non-binary, or gender-expansive. Join us for our spring Liberation Rock Camp Showcase, where some of our alumni adult campers will take the stage to perform after a whirlwind weekend of hard work and collaboration. Hosted by G.I.R.L.S. Rock Sacramento, this special event celebrates the spirit of community, self-expression, and the transformative power of music.

The showcase will take place Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 3–5 PM at The Torch Club in downtown Sacramento. The event will also feature a special guest performance from Feedback Loop.

A $15 donation is requested at the door (21+ event), and all proceeds support GRS youth programs, helping fund music education and empowerment opportunities for girls and gender-expansive youth in the Sacramento community.

Since 1991, the Chalk It Up! Chalk Art & Music Festival has been a three-day celebration of local artists and the arts community — and is one of the last of the free, family-friendly festivals in Midtown Sacramento.

Join us for the best all-ages show of the year as The California Stars, Joe Gibbs & CTX, Leaping Blennies, Poly Holiday, The Lucky Shots, Larisa Bryski, Wonderful Drugstore, Sgt York, the Natalie Cortez Band and the GRS Alumni Band “Wisteria” each takes a swing at their own year from the '80s. We'll be raising a glass to the funnest era of music in history while raising money for G.I.R.L.S. Rock Sacramento! Doors open at 4pm. Show starts at 5pm.

Join G.I.R.L.S. Rock Sacramento for this amazing show, which is the culmination of our week-long Teen Camp for ages 12-17, and our biggest live music fundraising event of the year! You'll hear/see five brand new youth bands as they perform original songs that they wrote together over the course of camp week! Join us for warm vibrations and guided meditation with Allie Hall this Valentine’s Day weekend! This soothing sonic experience, featuring crystal bowls, gong, and chimes, will surround you in harmonious sounds that foster deep relaxation and emotional release, and will invite in a sense of renewal & restoration. Allow the sounds to wash over you, clearing any stagnant energy and creating space for healing and harmony.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes, and bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Optional items include a blanket and eye cover.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit GRS youth camps and programs.

Join us at Harlow’s for the culmination of our Teen Camp week, as five brand new bands, with members between the ages of 12 and 17, perform their original songs for the very first time!
